Troop Project: Creating our patrol flag!
Every Scout troop creates its own flag, and our girls took this tradition to heart. They chose the name North Star Patrol and designed a flag to reflect their identity and teamwork.
Working collaboratively, they created a night sky scene featuring the Big Dipper pointing toward the North Star; a symbol of guidance and direction. Each Scout contributed ideas, making the final design a true group effort.
We're ready to showcase the finished flag at upcoming camporees!

Celebrating in Community: Our girls advance!
Three of our Scouts advanced to the Scout rank; the very first rank in Scouts BSA! (See all the ranks here)
To earn this rank, they learned the Scout Oath and Law, the Scout Motto and Slogan, the Patrol Method, and troop structure. They also demonstrated basic knife safety and rope skills.
Troop 777's first Investiture Ceremony was a wonderful community celebration. Several Eagle Scouts participated, along with senior members from our brother Scout Troop 6 and many supportive parents. The sense of connection and encouragement was felt by all.
And of course, no celebration is complete without treats - the pie and cookies were a hit! Afterward, our girls were asked what they appreciated most about the troop, and without hesitation, they all said the same thing: camping trips together.

Troop Meeting: Teamwork and knife skills
Our Scouts explored what we call the Patrol Method through a hands-on challenge. They discovered they could pick up more balloons working together rather than individually; a fun reminder that leadership isn’t about doing everything yourself, but helping your patrol achieve more as a team.
They also practiced their Knife Safety 101 skills in the tastiest way possible: practicing “chipping” with Toblerones. Safe knife handling and dessert? That’s a win-win.

Redwoods, Campfires & 1,200 Feet of Adventure!
We went and hiked in up 1200 ft and saw beautiful redwoods at Samuel P. Taylor Park. We also achieved the engineering feat of hanging our smores from a "fishing pole" of paper-clips over the camp fire that the girls started and tended to (under close supervision!) Knot-Tying, Games & New Friends: Jamboree with Troop 402
Troop 777 joined Scouts from across the area at a multi-troop Jamboree hosted by Lafayette Troop 402. It was an afternoon full of games, community building, and hands-on learning. Scouts rotated through skill stations - like knot-tying, teamwork challenges, and problem-solving activities - while getting to meet and collaborate with girls from other troops.
A huge thank you to Troop 402 for creating such a welcoming and warm event!

Troop 777 at Bodega Bay: Ocean Views, Beaches & Campfire Songs
Troop 777 spent the day hiking at Bodega Bay - literally at the edge of the continent. Scouts followed trails overlooking the Pacific Ocean before making their way down to the beach, where we even passed a wedding taking place in the sand. Along the way, our Scouts explored moss-covered rocks, shared discoveries, and ended our day singing campfire songs together from the Scout Songbook. It was a beautiful mix of adventure, nature, and Scout spirit.
